Replacement Carbon Odor Filters are enhanced with Arm & Hammer® baking soda which naturally deoderizes the air by absorbing and eliminating odors that may come from pets, garbage, bathrooms, smoke, litter boxes or cooking. These replacement carbon filters are for use in Holmes® and Bionaire® branded air cleaners. Also fits some GE brand air cleaners.

They have little spots of baking soda which is supposed to inactivate smells, but I'm really skeptical on that. They do catch large particles well, and are an integral part of my Holmes filter. They do a good job removing particulate matter from the air when used with my Holmes air purifier. They are necessary to use upstream of a HEPA filter to keep the HEPA from becoming clogged.
